UPDATED: Amber Alert canceled after abducted child found in Denver

ST. GEORGE — The Cedar City Police Department issued an Amber Alert for a non-family abduction of a 5-month-old. An emergency alert was sent out early Saturday morning and the child was found later.

Updated Nov. 7, 2020, 3 p.m.: The abducted child has been located and in Denver.

Four-month-old Peyton Everett Caraballo-Winston was located at Denver International Airport along with his alleged abductor Emily Marissa Luciano. Luciano, 31, was babysitting Caraballo-Winston and his two siblings Friday night and did not return with them as expected Saturday morning. According to a Cedar City Police press release, Luciano left the two other children with a third-party before departing Cedar City. They were returned to their mother safe and unharmed.

Through collaboration with the FBI and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, law enforcement found Luciano and Caraballo-Winston in Denver.

Luciano is in FBI custody awaiting legal proceedings. Caraballo-Winston is in the custody of FBI Victim Services, with arrangements of reuniting him with his mother being made. He is unharmed.

The online Amber Alert asked residents to watch for a black 2016 Toyota Camry, with Utah plate number F299SF.

Anyone with more information is asked to contact the Cedar City Police Department at 435-586-9445[1] or call 911.
